Really great discussion! I sleep with my door open but then again I live alone. Jason your politics topic is a bit cray cray in the sense you must be living or want to live in a Utopia. And that's not going to happen. I'm looking forward to the submission of the homework on this matter though. 3) Rose needs to have a seat regarding this feminist issue. It's ridiculous her point of reference on this one. Clearly there's a flaw in her ointment. 4) The OJ discussion was interesting. In some ways when I heard transcending race, I at times took it to mean, despite the barriers of a racist society, this person rose above it all to a certain extent to achieve greatness surpassing his/her white contemporaries and although the racist world doesn't like it, it has to acknowledge that this person was good/great. Nonetheless you all are right about how problematic it is because even my interpretation is steeped in white supremacy.
